Favicon is Finally Working

What is a favicon? I believed most bloggers have an idea of what a favicon is. It is usually a shortcut icon, a website icon or a URL icon. In blogger platform for example, you can now download a favicon for your blog(s). I already tried it in some of my blogs and it is working. The problem is, it is not automatically updated. Last week, as far as I can remember on Thursday, I uploaded a favicon for my Travel and Discover USA blog, the favicon still did not work until this morning. As I checked it again this afternoon, I can finally see my favicon. This gives my website its own identity now. I am happy about it. Thanks blogger team for this feature. I love it!

Service Unavailable, Error 503 in Blogger

I encountered this problems for a lot of times since the past days. Whether I am uploading images in my blog or posting the articles that needs to be posted, this error 503 Service Unavailable is always appearing. What I do when I encounter is simply to try and try again until I am successful.

I browse online what are the causes of this and I found very important information about it. Blogger Tricks for example has an explanation why this error is being encountered.

This problem affects all blogs worldwide. One of the ways to find out if you have been affected is to login in Google analytics and check your traffic sources, select search engines and select the keyword that brings most of the traffic to your blog, compare the data with previous months. A notable change in your bounce rate or average time will be a good indicator that your blog had been affected by this 503 response code. The logic behind this is simple, a user trying to view your blog has opened the 503 page and assumed the site down and gone to another site. Due to this you will receive a 100% Bounce rate for that keyword as well as a low time average.

Understanding the problem and its consequences

The consequences of this problem are that you can start to lose traffic and your ranking in search engines. You need to understand that this is not a problem of resources, this cannot be fixed by getting a new server for blogger (if it was I would not be here talking about it).
This is a problem of how we blog and what we do with our blogs."

Can't Post in Blogger Due To Error

Good morning everyone! Another week in August is here again! I hope that you will have a good start of the week especially for those people who are going to work. It seems that I am always busy too. There are a lot of things to do but sometimes 24 hours a day is not enough. There are a lot of things that I want to share in the blogosphere but due to limited time I just can't write everything.

I should be writing this post a week ago but as what I just mentioned above, there is just no enough time. This error in blogger happened the other Sunday night as I was posting in one of my sites. I guess I tried it around ten times but the same error always came out. I also google error code bX-aiksoi but it seems that there is no information about it. Since I am already very sleepy that time, I decided to turn-off my computer. I was also thinking that maybe blogger is having a maintenance that time. The next day, Monday as I tried to post in blogger, it went through already. If you experience the same problem, I guess you don't have to worry about it. For me, it's not a big deal. You can probably try it again after some hours or maybe a day and blogger works again. I know that blogger is doing a good job! Have a great day to all! That's all for now.

I Love Blogger!

I can't deny that I love blogger! That is the reason why most of my blogs are hosted by blogger. Compared to other blogging platform, I found blogger very easy to navigate. It is also easy for me to upload photos direct from my computer files. I have bravenet and wordpress account also but I truly find it very difficult to load pictures there. I know I need another site to load my photos like photobucket, picasa, etcetera but i don't have much time to load photos in those sites... but in blogger you can easily get it from your computer file. That is the reason why I love blogger and their other services too. I know that I am not an expert in blogger but day to day, I am learning! Sad to say yesterday, it took me time to post pictures and post topics because there were some errors that always appeared. Is blogger having maintenance yesterday? I guess blogger today is perfectly going good again! Below are the messages that appears last night. Happy blogging to all!

Too many Widgets make your Blogs/Sites Load Very Slow

Anything good for today? I guess for me yes! because I am feeling very better now..I'm striking again online and sharing some blogging tips especially for my fellow bloggers. Do you notice that when you visit a site that has a lot of widgets in it, it loads very slow? I know I have some blogs/ sites that also loads slow but maybe it don't reach around 5 to minutes till it loads. The past days, I was visiting some blogs. I just noticed that their blogs loads very slowly because they have a lot of widgets in it. I also notice that a lot of pictures, music, videos or slide shows that you put in your side bars or irrelevant widgets always take your blogs or sites to load very slow. Sometime your or our visitors are getting out of patience waiting for our sites to load. Honestly I also felt the same as I visited one site last time that loads for around 10-15 minutes. I was reloading it but it is still the same.

I guess it is time for us to take away those irrelevant widgets in our sites...I promise to slowly check all my sites and get rid of those widgets that are not really important. This is all for our convenience...but please be patience..have a wonderful day to all!

Update On Blogs I Follow in Google

What really happened with the the blogs I am following in Google? If you read about my post here last Friday, I mentioned that all the blogs I followed in Google Friend Connect were all gone. I have no idea what happened. Last weekend, I noticed that all the blogs I followed are on my dashboard again. I really don't know what happened! At least, I don't have to worry now because they are back! For all friends who also followed my blogs, thanks a lot..I am slowly following you. Special thanks also to all my friends both online and offline, to all visitors, viewers and readers of this blog, I truly appreciate your time and effort in visiting my here. I wish you all a great evening especially to all my friends in Europe!

Why The Blogs I'm following are all gone!

I just noticed now that the blogs I'm following are all gone. What's wrong? what I have done? I don't remember I did something to delete it. I want to check for some of blogger friends' update but I don't see it anymore. Sorry guys, I wish to find you again. My apology! here is what blogger said on my dashboard as I am checking the blogs I followed.

Is Blogger Getting Too Crowded Now?

Is blogger really getting crowded now? Last week as I was trying to sign-in in my blogger account, I was not able to do it immediately due to an error that came out on my pc screen. Below are the messages that appeared on my computer screen. Did you have the same problem?

"Your request took too long to complete. This is typically just a temporary error due to high network traffic or heavy usage of Blogger.

Please hit the back button on your browser and try again. If the problem persists, please contact the Blogger Help Group. We apologize for the inconvenience."

After some couple of trying to sign-in again, I was finally able to log-in in my account. I guess I only need some patience..right guys? I am just curious how many millions of bloggers are using blogger platform. Any idea out there? I guess there are around 7 million bloggers around the world now as I read in one of a site some months ago. Please correct me if I am wrong. I will find it out in a couple of days.
