It's A Busy Life!

Hello! hello and hello again! It seems that I was really so busy the past days, weeks and months! Yes, I was and I believed I am always busy everyday of my life. Can you imagine a jobless full of tasks and jobs?  Of course, it is both online and offline stuffs that makes me always busy.

Before, I proceed, let me first extend some greetings to all great MOTHERS out there!

Back to the main topic...I can't imagine how many people I heard saying, they get bored when they are at home. Not for me because I always find things to do. If not, I also do some outdoor stuffs and activities.

I am loving my busy life. A jobless like me with lots of things to do like blogging, doing household chores, gardening, etc. are making my life everyday. Thanks goodness for making me busy.

I am off now since I am still unpacking the 2 luggae I had from my previous trips.

Yahoo Maintenance

I am a happy user of Yahoo mail. I have been using their services for over a decade now. This morning, I was not able to view  my mails   because yahoo is undergoing maintenance. This is not a problem for me. Besides the services I have  from yahoo are all for  free.  I believed  the maintenance  they are doing  are for  the  good and safety of everyone who are using their services.

Here is the message that pop-up on my computer screen some hours ago.

"Mail Home - Help Scheduled Maintenance. We are undertaking some essential, but extensive maintenance to improve Yahoo! Mail. During the maintenance period, some users may experience problems accessing Yahoo! Mail. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Your account is in great shape and we are working to have it available again as quickly as possible. Yahoo! Mail Tea" 

Thank you yahoo for all the services you are offering  to individuals on the net. You rock!

Someone's Knocking on the Door

Good morning folks! Another day is here! I am thankful that I wake-up again today. I had a good sleep last night as well. It always feels good when we have good and peaceful sleep during the night. The next day, we feel fresh and energize. I know some people who have problem with sleeping. These people have this disorder called insomnia. I have it sometimes especially when there are things that are bothering me. I really hate it.

This morning after I took my teatime partnered with two slices of toasted bread with butter and honey, I heard someone knocking on the door. I don't open it immediately because I really never expected a friend or somebody to come. During this time, I really don't trust opening the door especially when I am alone. I already heard a lot of news regarding people or burglars who are breaking-in inside the house and steal valuables.

I looked at the window first and saw that it was the postman, not really the postwoman who was knocking the door. I need to signed her little machine to confirm that I received the stuff. I actually had a new flyer regarding travels and I also received the gift when we referred a client to ADAC, an insurance company in Germany. I also got the bill for the trip that I booked to Ireland for March 2013. I am quite excited about it.

I guess that is all for now. I need to finish the clean-up that I am starting since last Monday. I hope to finish this before weekend comes. Have a nice day everyone! Take care!

First Friday of 2013!

OOpps! I left this post for some hours. When I come back a few seconds ago, I pressed enter..so here we go I posted an empty blog post..haha..Life is just sometimes so busy that we cannot finish a thing immediately.

Anyway, Today is the first Friday of 2013. I remember back home during first Friday of the month when I used to go to the church to light candles and offer prayers. Now that I am in the other side of the world, I seldom do it already. Well, I am doing it home but seldom in the church. I have a little altar where I do this ritual. Besides, I always try my best to pray before I go to sleep.

What did I do today? This is quite history because this is the time when I did my first grocery shopping. I promised to myself not to buy extras anymore. I mean things that I don't really need. I just bought the groceries that we always need every week plus some stuffs that I will put inside my balikbayan box. Yes, I will be sending a balikbayan box anytime this month.

After doping the grocery shopping, I also ran some errands at the pharmacy and at the bank. After that, I drove to my friends who invited me to have lunch with them. We talked a lot of things from travel to shopping, etcetera. Oh well, you know when ladies are having a sort of get together. They talked a lot of topics...haha! We had a lot of fun!

I would love to stay longer but I need to go home because I still have the grocery stuffs in my car. Besides, I still need to cook for dinner and other chores.

So far, I cannot complain for today. It is quite a tiring day but I am happy and contented. Thanks God for this wonderful day!

Welcome 2013!

Hello everyone! 2013 is finally here!  I hope you had a great time celebrating and welcoming the new  year.  I  had a simple but great one.  I prepared a typical German dinner. I cooked  Schweinebraten  ( baked crispy  pork)  with  Knödel or potato dumplings. I also had a  tomato  mozzarella salad with  bell pepper.  German Christmas cookies such as Lebkuchen or ginger bread was also on the table during our New  Year's dinner.  As usual, I  also offered fruits  for a more  fruitful year.

While waiting for the countdown of New Year 2013, the glasses  of  sweet moscato wine  were already prepared.  We were watching the   live concert lived on television held  in Brandenburg  Gate in Berlin.  Exactly twelve midnight, I had a toss with hubby.  We stayed until 3:00 watching  a movie on television. It was so far a lovely evening!

Today, the  first day of 2013  is quite a challenging for me. When I checked my facebook, I received a message from my sister back home that my father is in the hospital. Thanks God that  it is not so bad.

I am praying and hoping that this year  will be a great one for me, my family, relatives and friends. I am wishing for a more fruitful year, full of love,peace, success and happiness.Most of all I am praying for good health always especially for my parents, bothers, sisters and the whole family and  friends around.

2012 was so far a wonderful and  great year for me. There were a lot of great things that happened. Thank you Lord for everything. You are simply the best!

Welcome 2013 and I believed this year will be full of challenges and adventures again! God bless us all!

One Beautiful Sunny Winter Day

We are currently having a beautiful sunny winter day! Even though the sun is shining outside brightly, the temperature is still below sub-zero but not really negative 10 degree Celsius like what we have last week. The snow are still not melting. It seems that the freezing cold Siberian High or Siberian Winter is slowly going away very soon. I heard over the radio news that the temperature will be milder this coming Tuesday. That is quite a good news. I hope that you are having a wonderful day today. Yes, I will later because I will be meeting some friends again and maybe new friends to be.

I Need Another External Hard Drive

How are you peeps? I hope you are all doing fine especially to all my friends around the world. I am doing good so far and I am quite happy and contented at the moment. I am quite busy for the past days with a lot of things to do both online and offline.

Anyway, back to main topic..I have been window shopping for another external hard drive online. I need another extra one for my files and photos. This is one of my projects during the first quarter of the year 2012. I guess I am getting a 2 terabyte this time. I am just waiting for a perfect timing to find one which is on sale. I am monitoring this from time to time. Hopefully before I fly to Madrid, Spain next month, I can already order another external hard drive. I am already eyeing one in internet. This is the advantage of online shopping because you can just look at any items at the comfort of your home without driving somewhere especially when it is very cold outside.

Need A New External Hard Drive

I felt sad for a friend whose external hard drive won't function anymore. They stored a lot of movies and some vacation photos in it. That is really sad. If I were that, I would already roll on the floor and cry. Just kidding folks.

Anyway, this is also the reason why I am needing another external hard drive again. I already have three but the two are almost full. Most of the files I have there are photos from my vacation since 2007 and other important documents and data. I always see to it that I saved important data and photos on two external hard drives. The first one I bought last 2007 was 400 Gigabytes and it has only 5 G free now. The second one is 1000 Gigabytes and there are only 10G left. The one that I bought last year is 1.5 Terabyte (1500 G). It is half full now.

I am looking since last week a cheaper and affordable EHD in the internet but it seems that it is quite expensive. I was even bidding in Ebay but I just can't always monitor it. Besides I am not quite sure if Ebay sellers are also giving warranty or guarantee. I am also watching for different advertisement flyers that were sent to us from time to time. I am still not in a hurry to buyit but the earlier the better. Once I will see a good and cheaper one, I will immediately secure one.

Uploading Pictures from Spain Trip

I am very thankful that I am feeling very better now. I had some colds after the trip we had in Spain. It was a wonderful trip and so far the best one for me this year. I am back home now and I have a lot of things to do and finish before Christmas day comes.

I mentioned yesterday that I am just done unpacking my luggage. This weekend I need to start downloading all the pictures I took during our 8-days trip to Spain. I have around 15 SD cards for downloading. I already downloaded it in my netbook, the one that I bought with me in Spain. Since I want a back-up of all my pictures, I will download it again in my 1500 GB external hard drive. This is where I have all the travel photos I took during my trips. I just want to make it sure that I always have a back-up of it.

Lappy is Working Again

Happy Veterans Day to all American friends! Anyway, I am glad that after my laptop is working again.It was diagnosed with a severe fever last weekend. After I brought it to the doctor, there it goes, I can open it again. I was so worried when it wasn't working good because I am thinking of buying new one again. I just remember that it is still on warranty because I just bought it last year in November. It has a 24 months warranty. I hope it won't work weird again. Thanks also to my Ace netbook who had helped when my Asus was out of service last weekend.

Need to Organize My Photo Albums

This is one of the pending assignments I need to do as soon as I can. I need to organize my photo albums in my external hard drive. Sometimes, I have a difficulty of finding the right photos for the articles that I am writing on my blogs. I have been planning to do this for quite a long time now but when I already sit in front of my laptop, I can already see a lot of things and forget about it. I promise top start organizing it next week. Perfect timing because Halloween is over that time.

Where To Find my Product Key for Microsoft Word

Hello folks! How is your weekend? I hope everything went great. I am doing fine except for a very bad migraine yesterday. I am very thankful that I feel better now.

Anyway I am trying to figure out the product key for the Microsoft Word program in my laptop. As far as I know this software is already pre-installed in my laptop. The problem is I cannot find its product key. I am trying to find the CDs which were included when this electronic was delivered but I cannot really find the product key. I also tried the 25 digits mixed letters and numbers located at the back of the laptop but it always says, it is the wrong key. I will contact the vendor of my laptop soon because I really need to use the Microsoft Word program. Wish me luck!

I am a Pinay expat in Europe for almost 8 years now. Imagine the distance between my home country, Philippines and Germany? That is thousands of miles away. Thanks to the different mediums in internet like video calling, chat, blogs, emails, video conferencing and social networks where I can have contacts to all important persons in my life especially my family, friends, relatives and former classmates.

Whether you find yourself away from friends and family just for a brief vacation or because you'll be studying abroad or going away for a longer period of time, it's important to keep in touch with the people that are close to you. In the past this could be a challenge, but with the internet and today's technology there are many good ways to stay in touch with others.

1) Social Networking

There are several social media in the internet today where we can take hold and have contacts anywhere around the world. Social networking websites like MySpace and Facebook allow you to stay in contact with many of the people that you know. You can just give them a brief update about what you're up to, say a quick hello, or put up pictures to view. This way you'll feel like you're still in contact with lots of your friends and family at once.

I am very glad that I joined these social networking sites like Facebook and Friendster. I am always updated with current news about my family and friends. Not only that, I can also see their pictures.

2) Webcam/Video Calling

With a number of video conference calling options available, such as Skype, video calling sites like Conference Genie, and a host of other live streaming sites, the potential is huge. If you have an iPhone, you can also use Wi-Fi to access your FaceTime setting within the phone. Having interaction via video link is one of the best ways to keep in touch, as you can utilise both sight and sound which is crucial to good communication. You can also use video calling to show off where you are such as landmarks and monuments, and even capture live parades, art exhibitions and other experiences.

3) Email

The easiest way to stay in touch with one specific individual is by sending them an email. This is the same as what you might do if you were to write a letter or send a postcard, but the person will receive it instantly. It's easy, doesn't take too long to send a quick email, and it also doesn't cost a thing. You can also attach images when sending mails.

Since there is a time difference between Philippines and Germany, I cannot always catch my family online. I send them emails instead. Thanks to Yahoo for the free email services. I am a very contented yahoo user for a decade now.

4) Photo hosting websites

One of the best ways to make people from home feel like they are traveling with you is by showing them pictures of the places you've been. There are several websites that let you upload your pictures and put them into an online album view. Then you can send the album to others and they can look at all of the pictures you've taken and all the places you've been on your journey.

You can also share any pictures for whatever activities you are doing. Whether attending a friend's birthday party, graduation, wedding or simply snapshots of your garden,

5) Start a blog

I am very happy being a part of the blogosphere. As a blogger, I can share my ideas, thoughts, opinions and personal experiences to the world. Whether I go for a trip, cook something, do gardening, shopping, visit a doctor, I can share everything in my blogs.

If you travel a lot or might be gone for a long period of time, you can start a blog to keep others informed about what you're up to. You can post as often as you like and write about what you've been doing and things that you've seen. You can also put pictures on your blog. Then anyone you give the address to will be able to read it and comment on it.

You can also earn money through blogging. If you want to promote your site, you can hire experts to grow your business online.

Monday Etcetera

Another week is here again. I have to make again some double time to finish all the jobs before I take-off this coming Friday. I have been very busy this morning. I woke-up earlier to do some errands. After I took my tea ceremony, I immediately made me ready to go to the Gemiende or municipal hall to submit the plan for our carports and terrace. I also went to the post office to send a mail.

I went shopping after that. When I stopped at the gas station to fill-up my car, I complained because the gasoline was so expensive. Imagine almost 1.63 Euros per liter?? I can't do anything because I need gas very badly or else I will be pushing my car.

When I went home, I was a bit pissed-off because the daughter's neighbor parked her car to our parking area. I don't really get easily angry but my hunger was making me crazy this noon time. I ended up parking the car on the side of the street and carrying the heavy bags of grocery items inside the house. It did me more effort of carrying which made me more hungry....arrgh! .uh uh!..relax...take care of your heart..lol!

I don't understand sometimes why some people are so nonsense. They already know that it is not their area but still they keep on parking there. When I get pissed-off again, I will close our boundary so that they can't park their car anymore. I guess, hubby is right the neighbors children are blöd! In short st*pid...sorry for the bad word..I don't really want to say it but what happened this noon time just made me so mad.

I ended up broking my favorite bowl when I was cooking this noon time because I was in a hurry already. I felt better again after eating. I want to eat during lunch time in Mc Donald but I am not really a junk eater. Enough for my rants today, besides I don't want to raise my blood pressure..wink! . I need to do some more errands now because I will be away for some days starting Friday for a short trip.

Yahoo! Yahoo!

Good morning folks! Another sunny Monday morning is here! It is always nice to see the sun shining everyday. It makes me happy and it seems that it is recharging my body from the last freezing cold winter.

One thing that only make me sad today is my yahoo mail. I don't know why I have difficulty sometimes in opening my mails. After I opened it and want to forward some emails in my other email account, I also can't do it. It says, " Please specify at least one recipient in the To: field". This is weird because I even put two email address in the To: field. Oh well, life must go on. I will try it later again if it will work.

Emails from my Yahoo Inbox were Gone

This is a mess that I still did not fix. I already shared about this rant last Monday. The emails in my yahoo inbox were gone since I signed-in my yahoo email add in Microsoft Office. Actually, I can view it in Microsoft Office but I am not quite comfortable using this program. I am already use with regular yahoo mail. I have no idea if I have some important messages from those exported mails. For now, I don't want to sign-in in Microsoft Office using the same email address that I am using in yahoo because it will be a mess again. Actually, all the regular mails in my inbox including the spam mails are all mixed-up in Microsoft Office inbox. Since I have over a thousand spam mails, it is difficult for me to find my regular mails.

I still want to research online if I can get back my regular inbox that were exported to Microsoft Office. For now, I don't have much time to do it because there are a lot of things that keep me busy. I sent a mail to one expert but he still did not answer me. Hope to fix this problem soon.

Can't View My Regular Mails In Yahoo

Hello everyone! I guess this is a rant that I will be sharing today. I messed-up my yahoo account yesterday and can no longer view my mails in my regular yahoo inbox. What happened was, I tried to sign-in my yahoo email add to Microsoft Outlook and after doing it, all my mails were transferred to Microsoft Outlook inbox. Honestly, I am still not comfortable using Microsoft Outlook because I am always using the regular yahoo mails.

The worst problem is, when all my yahoo mails were redirected to Microsoft Outlook inbox, all the spam mails in my yahoo spam folder are all now in the regular Microsoft Outlook inbox. Imagine I have more that 1000 spam mails back in yahoo inbox. I can't find enough time sorting the mails in Microsoft Outlook. Second problem is, I cannot find the "Product Key" of this new laptop on mine. I thought this is the product key that is found at the back of the laptop but everytime I input it, it always says, "wrong product key".

I am still trying to search on how to have back my mails in my regular yahoo inbox and not at the Microsoft Outlook inbox. This is truly a catastrophe for me because I have some important mails in my yahoo. I was so sad after this happened yesterday.

I hope this problem will be fixed soon. Any idea who I can fix it? I mean returning to my regular yahoo mail. This is the problem of not being a computer geek and have no knowledge of any computer programming.

Horoscope and I am upset!

For the first time in history since I have been browsing the net, I stumbled at the horoscope page of my yahoo mail. This is what my horoscope is telling me today. I am only quite confused of what all these mean. It's also because, I am not on my proper mind of thinking at the moment. Some messy things happened and I am quite sad about it. I hope to fix it very very soon. I need some computer experts out there! Help please!

Here is my horoscope for today, Feb. 27, 2011. I am LEO..grrrrrrr! I guess I truly need to sit back and relax to release all the stress that I have now. I am very upset now. I don't want stress in my life!!! go away please!

No More Annoying Callers

Finally, all the annoying callers were gone now. After some months of annoyance and irritation with these annoying callers, we finally have a better and peaceful life now. No more calls too early in the morning. No more phone ringing in the late evening. Don't you also know that these callers are scammmers? Some are telling us that we entered into a lottery and in order to continue playing, we must transfer payments to their account. Some are also pretending that they are making surveys but in the true sense they are only fooling people to get money from their victims.

It cost us some amount as we changed our telephone number. We also made it unavailable in the telephone book. The most important thing is, we have quite a peaceful life now after all these annoying callers disappeared.

End of Car Search

Hubby has been searching for a new car since last December 2010. The registration of his 18 years old VW or Volkswagen car will be ending next month. It is too old and when he will let it fix, it cost a lot of money. It cannot also pass the inspection because there are a lot of parts in the car that needs to be repaired. In fact, he is giving away this old Volkswagen. In Germany, when somebody will throw his old car, there are junk shops who will take it but you have to pay for the service. It probably cost more or less 200.00 Euros. He is trying to find junk shops nearby who will take the car for free.

Since last month, hubby has been searching for cars in the internet. We also did some car window shopping the past weeks. Good to know he found one in the internet last week. We drove near Munich last Thursday and as the Auto dealer agreed with our bargain, we picked it up immediately last Saturday. It cost some fortune but at least hubby is very happy. Hubby is very contented with his new toy. I told him that he just need to reward himself sometimes especially for all the hard work he had done in his life. Congrats to dear hubby for his new toy.
