My Plane Ticket Was Cancelled

This is not really a good story but it is not so bad. Sometimes I am thinking of getting some wrinkles about this. Last week, I sent an email to the travel agency where I booked my plane ticket for a vacation to the Philippines. I asked if they still have an available seats of the promo ticket they are still offering on their website. In fact until now it is still there. I already booked my ticket since last August but I am still hoping to get a cheaper one. Since there are no more seats for their promo tickets, I asked them to send me the bill of my ticket reservation. They sent me a bill online but I don't have a printer. Sad to say, they said that my ticket was already cancelled because I did not pay for it. I got a bit stress about it. I immediately called the travel agency to rebooked another ticket for me. I am just happy to know that the same flight schedule I had before is still available. Sometimes if you have stress from this situation, you might need eye wrinkle cream to get rid of those winkles. We can't avoid it and it really happens. To avoid any stress, we better not think too much of any problems and bad situation. We have to remember life is so short. Help! Got Problems with my Clothes!

We are now in the middle of the week! Weekend is almost here again. I am excited because we might be going sightseeing again. I hope and pray that me and my dear hubby are perfectly fit during the weekend. The past months, I really had a problem with my clothes. Sometimes it is annoying when you are in a hurry and the pants, blouse or shirt you want to wear don't fit anymore. I was scared because as I checked my weight last month, I gained another 4 kilos again! Oh my gosh! I need to visit this site with diet pills review. I need to review myself also! Since yesterday, I started to make a simple diet. I don't eat too much anymore in the night. Just some fruits and vegetables are the one that I am trying to eat. I hope I can reduce my weight because most of my clothes are getting smaller now. I don't want to spend money again in buying new clothes. I did spent already a hundred Euros last week. It's an excuse because it was my birthday shopping present from my hubby! whew! I'll see you later again peeps!

Sympathy to Sick People!

It is a very sad story when somebody in the family is sick. It might be worse when the sickness is a terminal one and there is no more cure for that sickness. Cancer sickness for example like mesothelioma is also very dangerous. Most people who have this sickness got it from their job which has exposure to asbestos, a kind of chemical element. I sympathize to those who have one. I hope that those poor victims of this sickness will have miracle or will be cured and be backed to their normal health. Keep on praying! God always listen. If ever I will be given three wishes..one of which is having good health always! I hope you too! Cheers and Enjoy your weekend because I will! What A Weather Today!

I woke-up earlier today to go grocery shopping. I already had some things in my list which were included in my so-called "must to buy". I already came home around 3:00 PM because a friend who saw me in Parsberg called me and we had a conversation. We had a great long conversation with a new friend she introduced to me today. That was also the reason why it took me so long to go home. It was a very nice sunny day during the noon time. As I arrived home, the sky was already dark. After I put inside our house all the stuffs that I shopped, I heard thunders and lightnings already and the rain begin to pour so hard. I thought I can go a bit walking in the neighborhood but the rain took too long to stop. I will try to have more exercise now to lose extra pounds because I found out that I gained some kilos again..Not really good for me! I want to search more about weight loss supplement reviews to find out which is the most effective one. But I guess, discipline and more exercise is still the best and natural way to get rid of extra pounds. I will give you more updates tomorrow..I have to slowly sign-off now! have a great evening!

I Need More Stimulus!

Good day everyone! What a beautiful day today! Full sunshine is finally here but I'm still feeling quite tired. Any good news out there? I guess I have something good for you and for me too. The past days, I had been feeling so tired for not having enough sleep. I also mentioned it in my other blogs. It seems that I am not fit when I wake up in the morning. The same thing happened today. I felt again tired as I woke-up. I don't know what's exactly wrong with me or probably I need more stimulus in my body. I had a chance to watch a video about Stemulite. I also read a lot of positive testimonials from their customers in their website. Starting For a Diet Plan

Good morning guys! I am alive again! The weekend had been very hectic for me. I am busy with my escapades last Saturday in Czech Republic and in Bayerisher Wald in Germany. I was totally burned out yesterday after doing some stuffs in the house. I had been staying in the kitchen almost the whole day cooking. Last night before I went to sleep, I told myself that I really need to start again for a diet plan. I don't know where to start but I know the main thing to do for a diet is not eating too much and eating more fiber and protein food like fruits and vegetables. I just visited Diet Direct and was looking for their products. The best thing I found is there diet cookbook. I was also thinking about their Tri O Plex product. I know this is what all women want, to have a beautiful, sexy and healthy body. I have to admit I am included in the list with the same wishes. Just last week, I was looking on my old photo albums. I can't imagine that I was only around 53-55 kilos six years ago. Sometimes, I am asking myself...what is happening to me now? Can I get back that body again..I always tried to avoid eating too much food. But to tell you honestly guys, I can't do that all the time especially if it is my favorite dishes. Pity for me. Sometimes I even regretted about it. I mean regret about my favorite hobby, eating!! hehehe...bad for me..I know that but I still don't lose hope to get back that 34-24-36 body stats....does any women want this body stats too? I don't go walking Today

Today is Sunday. Normally me and my husband should go walking together. But since it is so cold outside and it seems that the heaven is getting gray which means rain is coming, I decided to stay at home and cook for dinner. I am quite lazy to go walking too. I have a fitness equipment at home. It is like a Nordic walking stepper. Honestly I don't use it often. I hope I can use it more especially during the winter time where I can't go often walking outside. I will try my best. Besides I know that I need to lose some weight. How about you??

Elderly women benefit from mammograms

NEW YORK (UPI) -- A U.S. study suggests that women 70 and older benefit from yearly mammograms to help detect breast cancer.

Researchers at Jacobi Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine reviewed the mammographies of 24 cases of breast cancer in 22 patients 70 to 89 and correlated the results to surgically proven histology and lymph node involvement.

"Our initial interest was sparked by the changing mammographic guidelines in the elderly age group and the differences in the guidelines between organizations, including the American Cancer Society and American College of Radiology," lead author Dr. Jason Salsamendi said.

"During our study, we found that five patients never had a prior mammogram. Their breast cancer was detected on a baseline study. These five patients included three cases of infiltrating ductal carcinoma."

The study results encourage clinicians to continue to order screening mammography in elderly patients at yearly intervals, Salsamendi said.

The study is scheduled to be presented as an electronic exhibit during the American Roentgen Ray Society's annual meeting in Washington this week.

Study links incontinence drugs with memory problems

CHICAGO - Commonly used incontinence drugs may cause memory problems in some older people, a study has found. "Our message is to be careful when using these medicines," said U.S. Navy neurologist Dr. Jack Tsao, who led the study. "It may be better to use diapers and be able to think clearly than the other way around."

Urinary incontinence sometimes can be resolved with non-drug treatments, he added, so patients should ask about alternatives. Exercises, biofeedback and keeping to a schedule of bathroom breaks work for many.

U.S. sales of prescription drugs to treat urinary problems topped $3 billion in 2007, according to IMS Health, which tracks drug sales. Bladder control trouble affects about one in 10 people age 65 and older, according to the National Institute on Aging, which helped fund the study. Women are more likely to be affected than men. Causes include nerve damage, loss of muscle tone or, in men, enlarged prostate.

The research began after Tsao met a 73-year-old patient. Shortly after starting an incontinence drug, she began hallucinating conversations with dead relatives and having memory problems. Her thinking improved when she stopped the drug for several months.

Tsao and his colleagues knew of similar reports. They decided to look at a large group of people to see if they could measure an effect of these and other medications that affect acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that shuttles signals through the brain and the rest of the nervous system. The drugs block some nerve impulses, such as spasms of the bladder.

The findings, released Thursday at a meeting of the American Academy of Neurology, come from an analysis of the medication use and cognitive test scores of 870 older Catholic priests, nuns and brothers who participated in the Religious Orders Study at Chicago's Rush University Medical Center. The average age was 75.

Researchers tracked them for nearly eight years, testing yearly for cognitive decline. They asked them to recite strings of numbers backward and forward, to name as many different kinds of fruit as they could in one minute and to complete other challenges during the annual testing.

Nearly 80 percent of the study participants took one or more of a class of drugs called anticholinergics, including drugs for high blood pressure, asthma, Parkinson's disease and incontinence drugs such as Detrol and Ditropan.

The people who took the drugs had a 50 percent faster rate of cognitive decline compared to those who didn't take any. The researchers considered other risk factors for memory loss, such as age, and still found the link. The researchers found no increased risk for the memory-robbing disorder Alzheimer's in people taking the drugs.

The incontinence drugs were among the most potent and were the most frequently taken of all the anticholinergics in the study. That's why the researchers believe they are driving the memory problems, Tsao said.

Some experts said the research supports previous observations and is helpful because it measures the size of the effect.

"This paper adds important new data to the picture," said Dr. Elaine Perry of Newcastle University in England, who has done similar research but was not involved in the new study.

More research is needed on the effects of anticholinergic drugs on memory, Tsao said. Doctors should do baseline cognitive testing on patients before prescribing the drugs, he recommended.

A representative of Pfizer Inc., maker of the top-selling Detrol, said patients should always talk to their doctors about problems while taking medication.

"Detrol has been on the market since 1998. It has been prescribed more than 100 million times worldwide," said Ponni Subbiah, Pfizer's vice president of medical affairs, in an e-mail response to questions.

Confusion and memory impairment were added to prescribing information for Detrol in 2006, Subbiah said, after some patients reported the problems. Since the reports weren't part of a medical study, "the frequency of events and the role of Detrol in their causation cannot be reliably determined," he said.

Cancer Update from John Hopkins:

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder.
By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's amino or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastrointestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment.
A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment .
About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for
building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.
Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. Water- best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest
and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrefied and leads to more toxic build-up.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well. Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.
