First Friday of 2013!

OOpps! I left this post for some hours. When I come back a few seconds ago, I pressed enter..so here we go I posted an empty blog post..haha..Life is just sometimes so busy that we cannot finish a thing immediately.

Anyway, Today is the first Friday of 2013. I remember back home during first Friday of the month when I used to go to the church to light candles and offer prayers. Now that I am in the other side of the world, I seldom do it already. Well, I am doing it home but seldom in the church. I have a little altar where I do this ritual. Besides, I always try my best to pray before I go to sleep.

What did I do today? This is quite history because this is the time when I did my first grocery shopping. I promised to myself not to buy extras anymore. I mean things that I don't really need. I just bought the groceries that we always need every week plus some stuffs that I will put inside my balikbayan box. Yes, I will be sending a balikbayan box anytime this month.

After doping the grocery shopping, I also ran some errands at the pharmacy and at the bank. After that, I drove to my friends who invited me to have lunch with them. We talked a lot of things from travel to shopping, etcetera. Oh well, you know when ladies are having a sort of get together. They talked a lot of topics...haha! We had a lot of fun!

I would love to stay longer but I need to go home because I still have the grocery stuffs in my car. Besides, I still need to cook for dinner and other chores.

So far, I cannot complain for today. It is quite a tiring day but I am happy and contented. Thanks God for this wonderful day!

5 Filipinos die in road accident in Saudi Arabia

It is always sad when we lost a love one, friend, relative or anybody that is important to us. How much more when you lost 4 members of your family at the same time. Our deepest condolence and sympathy to my friend and batchmate Jonathan Demetillo for losing his parents, onyl sister and nephew. Their family driver is also included. May their souls rest in peace. May Jojo be given all the strength and more faith to face the most challenging trials in his life. God bless you and your family Jo! Here is the news about that tragic incident.

5 Filipinos die in road accident in Saudi Arabia

SAUDI ARABIA – Four members of a Filipino family, including a 5-year-old boy, and their driver died in a tragic vehicular accident in the dark highways of Al-Hassa, Saudi Arabia, Wednesday night.

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office-Eastern Region Operations (POLO-ERO) identified the fatalities as Robert Demetrio, who is employed in a workshop in Al-Hassa; his wife Elizabeth, a teacher; their daughter Joyce Hassan, a nurse at the National Guard Hospital in Hofuf; and their 5-year-old grandson, Hope.

The victims are from Kidapawan, North Cotabato.

The Filipino driver of their vehicle, Gener de Java also perished in the accident.

Pedro de Castro Ibañez, who was accompanying the group, was the lone survivor of the accident.

The Demetrios were on their way to the airport when the accident happened. They were supposed to fly back to the Philippines for a vacation.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the accident.

Labor Attaché David Des Dicang said that the POLO-ERO will be coordinating with the Saudi authorities and the victims’ respective employers to assist in the repatriation of the bodies and look into the possible benefits for their next of kin. – Report from Raffy Beltran

Got A Message from FB

Hey folks, what's up! I hope you had a great day especially to all friends from Europe! Weekend is almost coming. We still have to plan what to do this weekend but sometimes without plan is better. Anyway, I am just happy because I am thankful that through social networks like friendster and facebook, I am able to meet and see my former classmates, schoolmates, neighbors, former colleagues, family, relatives and friends. Today I received a message from a former classmate in the elementary grade mentioning about class reunion. She said that I need to organize it because I am the Valedictorian of the class. I am already planning about it but I will see when we are going again to the Philippines for another vacation. Thanks to this social networks again!

How to Create and Album in Facebook

I guess some Facebook users are still not familiar on how to create an album in facebook. One friend already asked me how to do it. Payat this is especially for you. I would also say that facebook is truly fantastic. I always have fun seeing and conversing with old friends and acquaintances. and yes with new friends too. I am loving facebook.

Below are the steps on how to create an album in FB
1. Go to you Profile which is located on the upper right corner of FB screen. Of course you have to log-in first in FB.
2. Click Photo which is located near your Wall and Info. It is located at the center of Info and + sign near your profile picture.
3. Now you see the + Create A Photo Album near the Create an Ad on the right side of FB screen.
4. Now you are ready to put the Album Name, Location and Description of your album. Have fun browsing your picture folder.

Missing My Previous Co-bankers

Another sad story this time. I did wrote to most of my websites about my long 3-months vacation in the Philippines. I miss everyone especially those very good friends of mine. I also missed visiting some of my relatives in other islands in the Philippines. I also missed my co-workers at the bank where I served for almost 9 years before. They are not only my co-workers but we considered each other as family. I even remember Kuya Bong who always cracked jokes. He hates sitting for a long period of time because of his hemorrhoids. I hope that he had already found good hemorrhoids treatment for his sickness. I heard from one co-banker that he already retired and had his own business. I wish him good luck in his undertakings. I also want to apologize to my very good friends like Paulita, Eda Fe, Jocelyn, Genara, Suzette, Geraldine and a lot more for not visiting you. I wish to explain it in one of my blogs later. Sorry my dear friends especially to Paulita who just left some comments in my FB wall. I truly miss you guys! Take care and God bless us all!

Blogs I Followed Were Gone

There were just a lot of strange things that happened the past days. My netbook is not starting anymore. Our cooking plates were grounded, the faucet in the kitchen keep on dropping and last Saturday, I can't see anymore the blogs I am following. I don't know what happened. I just did not think about that too much. For sure my blogger friends will still visit me and I can add and follow them again. Surprise yesterday because as I opened my old pc I saw again the blogs I am following..weird huh? My problem right now, my old pc is running very very slow. Sorry friends, if I can't reciprocate your visit. I will do once my pc will be backed to normal. I guess, it is having some fever right now! wink! happy start of the month of November!

Conversation With a Friend

I called a friend yesterday in Kaiserslautern. I just want to let her know that I can't come this coming weekend due to a lot of things to do. I need start packing my Balikbayan boxes to be sent to the Philippines. Another problem is that, I will be traveling alone in the train for around eight hours which my husband won't allow. I also talked a lot of things with my friends like making exercise every day, weight loss supplements that work, cruising in Nile River, trip to Berlin and Brussels, vacation to the Philippines this year and a lot more. I can't wait to go home this year and see my family and friends once again!

Got A Call From A Friend

It's nice to hear from friends again who are far away from us. I am happy that some friends who live thousand miles away from us are still communicating with us once in a while. Two weeks ago, a friend who just left from Germany called me and we had a nice conversation. I can't imagine around two months ago as their whole household stuffs were packed. They have a lot of furniture and fixtures and other household equipments that need to be transferred to the US last time. I can't imagine how many moving boxes they used in packing their stuffs. During our chat in YM, she also showed me their new house. It is huge with five bedrooms. How I wish I have a house like that. She also invited me to visit them in United States but for now I can't do that because I will be going home for vacation. I am quite excited seeing home again! This is my short update for now. What Happeded To Google Friend Connect?

Big G is great but what happened to Google Friend Connect? Anyway guys, It's TGIF again! I hope you will have a wonderful weekend. We are planing for sightseeing again this weekend. I hope that I will be feeling perfectly healthy this weekend. We always try to enjoy the summer here in Europe by going out every weekend and see some places. I love it!

Back to my main topic guys.. I found out last Wednesday that I can't find my friend's list or Google Friend Connect in some of my blogs. I don't exactly know what's wrong with it. I am not an expert and I'm sorry for that. Yesterday, I was also adding some friends in my google friend connect but it seems that there are some errors that always occurred. I forgot to copy that error codes.

I have a good news for you guys...Sometimes you just don't have to worry about this small things. Just today, I found again my friends listed on the sidebars of my blogs. I also bookmarked yesterday the blogs that I want to follow and be added to my google friend connect...Bingo! it's working this morning!@ so don't worry, we just have to be happy all the time when we can! Happy TGIF!

Happy To See Friends Through Social Media

I just checked my friendster account and saw some former classmates in College who viewed my profile. Sorry guys only my friends can fully view my profile and watch my pictures. She might not recognize me but I recognized her very much. I immediately added her and send her a message since her profile is public. I am just thankful that through this social media in the internet we can still connect not only with old and new friends but also to our family, relatives, former neighbors, former classmates and colleagues. There are a lot of social media now like myspace, tagged, facebook, friendster, flicker and a so many more. You might want to join to stay connected with people who are close to you.

Update On Blogs I Follow in Google

What really happened with the the blogs I am following in Google? If you read about my post here last Friday, I mentioned that all the blogs I followed in Google Friend Connect were all gone. I have no idea what happened. Last weekend, I noticed that all the blogs I followed are on my dashboard again. I really don't know what happened! At least, I don't have to worry now because they are back! For all friends who also followed my blogs, thanks a lot..I am slowly following you.
